Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Orden — the Orden macOS app, Chrome extension, and web dashboard at ordenapp.no (the “Service”). The Service is operated by Diverse AS (org. nr. 937 775 466), Norway (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Orden automatically collects invoices and receipts from your vendor billing pages and email, and organizes them for you. The Service acts only on your instruction and on accounts you control. We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an “as is” basis and may change, suspend, or discontinue features over time.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your login secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use Orden on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business to these terms.
Acceptable use
You may only use Orden to collect receipts and invoices from accounts you own or are authorized to access. You agree not to:
- access accounts or data you are not entitled to;
- use the Service to break any third-party vendor's terms, or any applicable law;
- resell, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt or overload the Service;
- use the Service to store or distribute unlawful content.
Your content and vendor access
The receipts, invoices, and account data you collect through Orden are yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and display them so we can provide the Service. When you connect a vendor or a Gmail account, you authorize Orden to access it on your behalf to find and download receipts, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to access any account you connect. If you use Orden on behalf of a business, our Data Processing Addendum applies to personal data we process for you.
Subscriptions and billing
Orden offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on a monthly or yearly basis and renew automatically until cancelled. Displayed prices include VAT (Norwegian MVA) where it applies, so the price you see is the total price you pay; the final amount in your local currency is confirmed at checkout. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time.
Right of withdrawal (angrerett)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason (the Norwegian angrerettloven and the EU Consumer Rights Directive).
When you subscribe, you ask us to start delivering the Service immediately rather than waiting out the 14-day period. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, you are refunded the amount paid minus a proportionate charge for the days the subscription was active before you told us you were withdrawing. If you have expressly acknowledged that full delivery has begun and that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, the right lapses once the service is fully delivered.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, send an unequivocal statement to hello@ordenapp.no within the 14-day period — a plain email saying you wish to withdraw is enough. You may also use the standard withdrawal form (angrerettskjema) published by the Norwegian authorities, but you do not have to. We will confirm receipt and process the refund to your original payment method without undue delay, and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your notice.
Third-party services
Orden relies on and interacts with third parties such as vendor billing pages, Google (Gmail), Supabase, Stripe, and OpenAI. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, changes, or actions. A vendor changing its website may cause a collection to fail; we work to keep workflows running but cannot guarantee any specific vendor will always work.
Intellectual property
We own the Orden software, brand, and all related intellectual property. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. You retain ownership of your own receipts, invoices, and data.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Automated collection and AI parsing can be incomplete or inaccurate. Orden is a tool to help you organize documents — it is not accounting, tax, or legal advice, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of your own records.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Diverse AS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that harms others or us. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are subject to the ordinary Norwegian courts, with Oslo as the agreed venue, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a dispute directly, you can bring the matter to the Norwegian Consumer Authority's dispute resolution scheme (Forbrukertilsynet / Forbrukerklageutvalget) — see forbrukertilsynet.no.
